Mortgage Meltdown Part 2
We keep looking at houses, made a few offers here and there but nothing yet. Are we nearing the bottom? The only ones who seem to think so are realtors and mortgage brokers. This 60 Minutes is a must-see for anyone thinking about buying a house today.

Black Friday 2009 bfads.net

My first post about a year ago was about "black friday 2007" which was an okay event at best. Looking back at this blog and all I've done with it, I must say is quite disappointing. Anyway, I'm not nearly as talented as the guy that runs Leftoverchinese.com.
Whoa! It's Black Friday all over again! Bfads.net has released a few adscans and Best Buy's ad has been released. However, there's some controversy surrounding the ad, mainly because it kind of sucks. I do have my eye on the $10 Transformers Blu-Ray and the $80 Guitar Hero dual guitar bundle.

Jeff Buckley
For some reason I remembered this old Jeff Buckley tune, I was probably in 10th or 11th grade at the time. A great song indeed.

Return to Dominican Republic
Circus Weekend
With the exception of Cirque du Soleil, I don't think I've ever been to an actual circus in my entire life. I'm not a big fan of watching animals in captivity, so I can't say I was thrilled when my wife suggested we go see the Ringling Brothers Circus. I was actually more intrigued to see if we were going to be greeted by animal rights activists...I wasn't disappointed. The show itself was okay, since I don't even enjoy going to Disneyworld anymore, I may not be the best judge.

Mission Spotlight: Costa Rica 2006

Do you recall the first time you heard the Lord's voice speaking to you clearly? Maybe it happens frequently for you, maybe it hasn't happened yet. It was around February 2006 when someone from church asked me if I was interested in going on a mission trip to Costa Rica. And for the first time I had a very loud and clear calling. I hesitated at first, the cost was around $1500 bucks and it involved a lot of manual labor. The work was back-breaking, the accomodations were spartan to say the least, but to heed the Lord's calling and know that every moment spent working was a turning point in my spiritual walk.
